Listed County-By-County

The purpose of this page is to identify those communities that are closest to Little Pinto, on a County-by-County basis. To explain further, let's use the example from the Genealogy Helper Page for Little Pinto:

We have great-grandparents who lived in a small community in the southeast corner of their home county. During their lives, most hospitals and doctors were in the next county to the east. Almost all of the nearby churches and cemeteries were in the county to the south.

When doing our research, we make it a practice to expand our search by looking in neighboring counties in addition to the county in which they lived:  their home county contained property and probate records; the county to the east contained birth and death records; the county to the south contained their burial records. If we hadn't checked the neighboring counties, we would have missed many valuable sources of information.

Keep in mind that when we give a distance, it's a 'straight-line' distance starting from Little Pinto.<1>

Although our information shows that the community of Little Pinto<2> is historic,<3> it would have been located within present day Iron County.

The following 5 counties adjoin and form the boundaries of Iron County: Lincoln (NV), Beaver, Garfield, Kane & Washington.

Our Gazetteer shows that there are 52 communities within 40 miles [64.4 km]<1> of Little Pinto. Of these communities, 31 are located in counties other than Iron County.

<5>The location has been supplied by the Geographic Names Information System - which is maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). While these values should be definitive, we found that accuracy can vary and you should double-check the location if accuracy is required.

<7>An 'estimated' location is one where we have been given GPS coordinates, but are unable to verify the accuracy of those coordinates.
