So far, we found very little information about Nemiskam. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Nemiskam, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1951.

Adding Nemiskam to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Nemiskam was on a map titled Road Map for Montana & Southern Alberta (from Shell Oil, 1951).

We also found Nemiskam in the book titled SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - Western Canada.

<1>	We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Nemiskam, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>	When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code. In this case, the 403 code has been Overlayed with one of the following codes: 368, 587 or 825. New phone numbers in the Nemiskam area will be assigned with one of these codes: 403, 368, 587 or 825.
