The location of Legend

Welcome to Legend ...

So far, we have found very little information about Legend. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Legend to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Legend, please Contact Us.

Time Zone: The area where Legend was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: MST- Heure Normale des Rocheuses (HNR).

Legend would have been located in the (403) and (587)<2> area codes.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Legend, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.

<2>Area code (587) is an overlay for area code (403).

<3>Our distances are not driving distances, but are calculated as a 'straight-line' (or point-to-point) distance that starts in Legend. A straight line distance ignores obstructions like rivers, canyons, lakes, et cetera - it's truly a line drawn from Point A (ie- Legend) to Point B.

If you need the driving distance (or directions), we recommend that you use one of the Mapping Services listed on our Map Page for Legend. Since we usually use Google Maps for our own planning, we've provided the following link: Google Map and Driving Directions starting from Legend

Our distance measurements begin at a specific point in Legend. The point that we are using is located at these GPS coordinates - Latitude: 49.4842, Longitude: -111.6084     [Map].   In this case, the coordinates for Legend have been estimated.

<4>Unless noted otherwise, the population counts we use should be considered estimates. Our population values for Legend were taken from various sources and although they can be traced back to Statistics Canada (StatCan), they should not be considered official.
