Welcome to Tulasco ...So far, we found very little information about Tulasco. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Tulasco to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Tulasco has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Tulasco, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1883. While the community is gone, the present day location for Tulasco is 5,480 feet [1,670 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Tulasco is about 1 mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Tulasco was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time If Tulasco still existed, it would have been in the (775) area code.
