Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Alpharetta had an population of 67,213 people. This is an increase of 16.79% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 92.84% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Alpharetta had a population of 57,551 people (which is 6.25% of the total population of Fulton County). This makes Alpharetta the county's 5th most populous community.

The population of Alpharetta represents 0.59% of the total population of Georgia (which has 9,687,653 people), making it the state's 10th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 57,551 people, the population of Alpharetta increased 65.12% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 34,854 people).
