Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Tooele had an population of 35,941 people. This is an increase of 13.72% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 59.72% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Tooele had a population of 31,605 people (which is 54.29% of the total population of Tooele County). This makes Tooele the county's most populous community.

The population of Tooele represents 1.14% of the population of Utah (which has 2,763,885 people), making it the state's 22nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 31,605 people, the population of Tooele increased 40.45% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 22,502 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tooele was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Tooele post office opened in 1852.

We also found Tooele in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
