Tooele County is one of the original counties of Utah and was founded in 1849.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Tooele had a population of 72,110 people. This is an increase of 23.86% since the last Census (which gave a population of 58,218 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Tooele represented 2.11% of the total population of Utah.
