At the time of the 2010 Census, Pawtucket had a population of 71,148 people (which is 11.35% of the total population of Providence County). This makes Pawtucket the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Pawtucket represents 6.76% of the population of Rhode Island (which has 1,052,567 people), making it the state's 4th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 71,148 people, the population of Pawtucket decreased 2.48% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 72,958 people).
