The Commemorative Quarter for Pennsylvania

Do you know of Angora ???

When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer - that's the case with Angora.

This entry has been created as a placeholder - we hope to develop more information in the future.

This entry could be in error. It might be that our source had a mis-print, was simply wrong or we made a transcription error while referencing it. We hope to learn more about Angora in the future.

We found mention of Angora as a post office, but can't determine its location - other than being located somewhere in Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

It's common that the post office is named the same as the community in which it's located (although that's not always case). In this case, we can't match this post office to any of the existing communities in our gazetteer.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Angora, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1880.

Communities Also Named Angora ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Pennsylvania communities named Angora: This one is located in Indiana County and the other is located in Philadelphia County.

Beyond Pennsylvania, there are 5 communities that are also named Angora - they are located in Colorado, Minnesota, Nebraska and Oregon.
