At the time of the 2010 Census, the Town of Windsor had a population of 6,274 people. This makes Windsor the county's 8th most populous community.

The population of Windsor represents 0.03% of the population of New York (which has 19,378,102 people), making it the state's 395th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 6,274 people, the population of Windsor decreased 2.29% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 6,421 people).
