Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Strong City had an population of 446 people. This is a decrease of 8.04% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 23.63% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Strong City had a population of 485 people (or 17.38% of the total population of Chase County). This makes Strong City the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Strong City represents 0.02% of the population of Kansas (which has 2,853,118 people), making it the state's 295th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 485 people, the population of Strong City decreased 16.95% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 584 people).
