While we don't have a date for the founding of Walsh, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1951.
Walsh is 2,440 feet [744 m] above sea level.<1> In other words, the elevation of Walsh is about ½ mile above sea level.
Time Zone: Walsh lies in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: MST- Heure Normale des Rocheuses (HNR), MDT- Heure Avancée des Rocheuses (HAR).
Note: If you travel east from Walsh (for example, toward Maple Creek (SK)), you will leave Mountain Time and cross into the Central Standard Time Zone (CST). In addition, you will be moving from an area that observes daylight saving time to one that does not.
Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 15 communities that are also named Walsh - they are located in Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Newfoundland and Labrador, North Carolina, Ontario, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Walsh was on a map titled Road Map for Montana & Southern Alberta (from Shell Oil, 1951).
The elevation is an estimate for the area around Walsh - it will be higher in some places and lower in others.
