Welcome to Keetley ...

So far, we found very little information about Keetley. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Keetley would have been located within present day Wasatch County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Keetley, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1923. The community was inundated by the Jordanelle Reservoir.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Keetley is 6,070 feet [1,850 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Keetley is about 1¼ mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Keetley was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Keetley in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Keetley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

X2X - From that list, the Keetley post office opened in 1923.

We also found Keetley on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Utah (1950).
