So far, we found very little information about Hatton. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Hatton would have been located within present day Millard County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Hatton, you might consider that their post office opened in 1898.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Hatton is 4,820 feet [1,469 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Hatton is about 1 mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Hatton was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Hatton in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Hatton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Hatton post office opened in 1898. The Hatton post office closed in 1940.
