Welcome to Sowers ...So far, we found very little information about Sowers. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Sowers to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Sowers has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Sowers, you might consider that their post office opened in 1881. While the community is gone, the present day location for Sowers is 530 feet [162 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Sowers was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Using our Gazetteer, we found another community named Sowers - it's located in Virginia.
