From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Eagle Ford was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

X2X - From that list, the Eagle Ford post office opened in 1858.

We also found Eagle Ford in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
