Welcome to Etna ...So far, we found very little information about Etna. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Etna to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Etna has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Etna, you might consider that their post office opened in 1852. While the community is gone, the present day location for Etna is 370 feet [113 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Etna was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Etna still existed, it would have been in the (731) area code. Communities Also Named Etna ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Tennessee communities named Etna: This one is located in Decatur County and the other is located in Hickman County.
