Cheatham County was founded in 1856. Cheatham was created by taking area from Davidson, Dickson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Cheatham had a population of 40,828 people. This is an increase of 4.41% since the last Census (which gave a population of 39,105 people in 2010).
