At the time of the 2010 Census, the Town of Narragansett had a population of 15,868 people (or 12.5% of the total population of Washington County). This makes Narragansett the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Narragansett represents 1.51% of the total population of Rhode Island (which has 1,052,567 people), making it the state's 24th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 15,868 people, the population of Narragansett decreased 3.01% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 16,361 people).
