How Far From Ironton to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Ironton to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers, the straight-line distance beginning in Ironton and extending to:
- Allentown, which is the Seat of Lehigh County, lies just to the Southeast.
- Harrisburg, which is the State Capital of Pennsylvania, lies 73 miles [117.5 km]<1> to the west southwest (WSW). If you could drive a straight line from Ironton to Harrisburg, with an average speed<5>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take less than two hours to make the trip.
