From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Ironton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Ironton post office opened in 1910.

We also found Ironton on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Minnesota (1932).
