Waldron would have been located within present day Wheeler County<2>.



While we don't have a date for the founding of Waldron, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1879.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Waldron is 2,770 feet [844 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Waldron is about ½ mile above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Waldron was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Waldron was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Waldron post office opened in 1879.
