With a 2010 count of 135 people, the population of Barlow decreased 3.57% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 140 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Barlow was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Barlow post office opened in 1871. The Barlow post office closed in 1975.
