Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Woodburn had an population of 26,290 people. This is an increase of 9.18% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 30.8% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Woodburn had a population of 24,080 people (which is 7.62% of the total population of Marion County). This makes Woodburn the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Woodburn represents 0.63% of the total population of Oregon (which has 3,831,074 people), making it the state's 21st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 24,080 people, the population of Woodburn increased 19.8% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 20,100 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Woodburn was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Woodburn post office opened in 1871.

We also found Woodburn in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
