When the people of Manchester referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Manchesterite<4> While the community is gone, the present day location for Manchester is 6,580 feet [2,006 m] above sea level.<5> In other words, the elevation of Manchester is 1¼ mile [or 2 km] above sea level.
