While we don't have a date for the founding of Inez, you might consider that their post office opened in 1908.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Inez is 4,170 feet [1,271 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Inez is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.
