Garrison would have been located within present day Roosevelt County<2>.

The location of Garrison has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Garrison, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1911.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Garrison is 4,130 feet [1,259 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Garrison is about ¾ mile [or 1¼ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Garrison was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

Note: If you leave Garrison and travel east, you will soon leave Mountain Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).

If Garrison still existed, it would have been in the (575) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Garrison was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Garrison post office opened in 1911.
