Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Meredith had an population of 6,453 people. This is an increase of 3.4% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 8.58% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Meredith had a population of 6,241 people (which is 10.38% of the total population of Belknap County). This makes Meredith the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Meredith represents 0.47% of the total population of New Hampshire (which has 1,316,470 people), making it the state's 53rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 6,241 people, the population of Meredith increased 5.01% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 5,943 people).
