Welcome to Landers ...So far, we found very little information about Landers. The location of Landers has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Landers, you might consider that their post office opened in 1888. While the community is gone, the present day location for Landers is 680 feet [207 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Landers was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Landers (for example, toward Centre (AL)), you will soon leave Eastern Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).
