From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mill Plain was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Mill Plain post office opened in 1826.

We also found Mill Plain in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
