While we don't have a date for the founding of Mirage, you might consider that their post office opened in 1895. While the community is gone, the present day location for Mirage is 7,660 feet [2,335 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Mirage is about 1½ mile [or ~2¼ km] above sea level.
