From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Bartle was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>
From that list, the Bartle post office opened in 1906.
We also found Bartle mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (July 1929).
