So far, we found very little information about Sunflower. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Sunflower would have been located within present day Maricopa County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Sunflower, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1943.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Sunflower is 3,400 feet [1,036 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Sunflower is about ¾ mile [or ~1 km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Sunflower was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sunflower was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
