The origin (or the toponymy) of Horace: Named for Horace Greeley. From the Census Estimates for 2019, Horace has a population of 67 people<3> (see below for details). Horace is 3,640 feet [1,109 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Horace is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level. Time Zone: Horace lies in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Horace, you will soon leave Mountain Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT). Horace lies within the (620) area code. Population Details ...Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Horace had an population of 67 people. This is a decrease of 4.29% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 53.15% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Horace had a population of 70 people (or 5.61% of the total population of Greeley County). This makes Horace the county's 2nd most populous community.
