How Far From Neiber to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers, Almanacs & Directories that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Neiber to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<4> community of Neiber once stood, the straight-line distance<5> beginning in Neiber and extending to:
- Worland, which is the Seat of Washakie County, lies just to the Northeast.
- Cheyenne, which is the State Capital of Wyoming, lies 253 miles [407.2 km]<5> to the southeast (SE). If you could drive a straight line from Neiber to Cheyenne, with an average speed<6>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take four to five hours to make the trip. A comfortable walk of 2.2 miles [3.5 km] per hour would take 15 days. A horse and buggy averaging 3.2 miles [5.1 km] per hour would take 10 days.
