Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, New London had an population of 7,078 people. This is a decrease of 2.97% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 0.1% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, New London had a population of 7,295 people (or 13.92% of the total population of Waupaca County). This makes New London the county's most populous community.

The population of New London represents 0.13% of the population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 132nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 7,295 people, the population of New London increased 2.96% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 7,085 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for New London was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the New London post office opened in 1854.
