Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, De Pere had an population of 24,957 people. This is an increase of 4.86% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 21.39% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, De Pere had a population of 23,800 people (which is 9.58% of the total population of Brown County). This makes De Pere the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of De Pere represents 0.42% of the total population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 35th most populous community.

We originally found mention of De Pere in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for De Pere was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the De Pere post office opened in 1837.

We also found De Pere in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
