The location of Wabash has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Wabash, you might consider that their post office opened in 1876. While the community is gone, the present day location for Wabash is 1,790 feet [546 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Wabash was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time If Wabash still existed, it would have been in the (540) area code.
