Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Pulaski had an population of 8,705 people. This is a decrease of 4.19% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 8.11% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Pulaski had a population of 9,086 people (or 26.06% of the total population of Pulaski County). This makes Pulaski the county's most populous community.

The population of Pulaski represents 0.11% of the total population of Virginia (which has 8,001,024 people), making it the state's 41st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 9,086 people, the population of Pulaski decreased 4.09% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 9,473 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pulaski was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
