So far, we found very little information about Clarion. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Adding Clarion to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Clarion was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Clarion post office opened in 1915. The Clarion post office closed in 1916.
