The location of Reno has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2> While we don't have a date for the founding of Reno, you might consider that their post office opened in 1884. When the people of Reno refer to themselves (known as a demonym), they frequently use Renoite<3> From the Census Estimates for 2019, Reno has a population of 3,216 people<4> (see below for details). The community of Reno is 730 feet [223 m] above sea level.<5>. Time Zone: Reno lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Reno had an population of 3,216 people. This is an increase of 28.95% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 31.75% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Reno had a population of 2,494 people. This makes Reno the county's 5th most populous community. With a 2010 count of 2,494 people, the population of Reno increased 2.17% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,441 people).
