Welcome to Locker ...

So far, we found very little information about Locker. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Locker was located in Hill Country.

Locker would have been located within present day San Saba County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Locker, you might consider that their post office opened in 1899.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Locker is 1,300 feet [396 m] above sea level.<3>.

Adding Locker to Our Gazetteer ...

We originally found mention of Locker in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Locker was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Locker post office opened in 1899. The Locker post office closed in 1954.
