While we don't have a date for the founding of Kent, you might consider that their post office opened in 1893. While the community is gone, the present day location for Kent is 4,200 feet [1,280 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Kent is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Kent was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Kent, you will leave Central Time and cross into the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT).
