Time Zone: The communities of Culberson County are split between two time zones. Some communities are located in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and they observe daylight saving time. The other communities are located in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and they observe daylight saving time.

The community of Van Horn is the Seat for Culberson County.

Culberson County was founded in 1911 and was created by taking area from  County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Culberson had a population of 2,171 people. This is a decrease of 9.65% since the last Census (which gave a population of 2,403 people in 2010).
