Welcome to Hale City ...

So far, we found very little information about Hale City. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Hale City was located in the Texas Panhandle.

Hale City would have been located within present day Hale County<2>.

The location of Hale City has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Hale City, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Hale City is 3,450 feet [1,052 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Hale City is about ¾ mile [or ~1 km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Hale City was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time
