The location of Golinda has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2> While we don't have a date for the founding of Golinda, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895. From the Census Estimates for 2019, Golinda has a population of 591 people<3> (see below for details). The community of Golinda is 450 feet [137 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: Golinda lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time The area code for Golinda: (254) Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Golinda had an population of 591 people. This is an increase of 5.72% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 39.72% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Golinda had a population of 559 people. This makes Golinda the county's 4th most populous community. With a 2010 count of 559 people, the population of Golinda increased 32.15% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 423 people).
