The location of Golinda has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2> While we don't have a date for the founding of Golinda, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was in a book dated 1895. From the Census Estimates for 2019, Golinda has a population of 591 people<3> (see below for details). The community of Golinda is 450 feet [137 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: Golinda lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Golinda is located in the (254) area code. Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Golinda had an population of 591 people. This is an increase of 5.72% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 39.72% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Golinda had a population of 559 people. This makes Golinda the county's 4th most populous community.
