We aren't confident of the location of Frio Town, so consider the above location as an estimate.<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Frio Town, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895. While the community is gone, the present day location for Frio Town is 620 feet [189 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Frio Town was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Frio Town still existed, it would have been in the (830) area code.
