Welcome to Frankel City ...So far, we found very little information about Frankel City. If you can help us with Frankel City, please Contact Us. Frankel City was located in the Texas Panhandle. Frankel City would have been located within present day Andrews County<2>. The location of Frankel City has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Frankel City, you might consider that their post office opened in 1856. While the community is gone, the present day location for Frankel City is 3,280 feet [1,000 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Frankel City is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Frankel City was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Frankel City (for example, toward Eunice (NM)), you will leave Central Time and cross into the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT).
