From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lenoir City was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Lenoir City post office opened in 1892.

We also found Lenoir City mentioned on a train schedule titled Greyhound Bus Time Table (November 1931).
