Loudon County was founded in 1870. Loudon was created by taking area from Roane, Monroe, Blount and McMinn Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Loudon had a population of 54,039 people. This is an increase of 11.29% since the last Census (which gave a population of 48,556 people in 2010). At the time of the 2010 Census, Loudon represented 0.77% of the total population of Tennessee.
